1 c. butter/margarine
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. sifted flour
Cream butter and sugar till fluffy. Add flour gradually. Beat at medium speed a full 5 mins.
Pat out about 10" x 6" on ungreased cookie sheet. Chill several hours or overnight. Cut; sprinkle decorative sugar on; chill 30 mins. Bake at 325 degrees till firm and golden on edge, about 18-20 mins.
Makes 5-6 dozen
