1 4oz can mushroom pieces
milk
1 slightly beaten egg
1.5 t worcestershire
1 t salt
.5 t dry mustard
dash pepper
1 c soft breadcrumbs
1.5 # ground beef
2 T ketchup
1 T corn syrup
Drain mushrooms, reserving liquid.
Add enough milk to make 1/2 c.
In mixing bowl, combine liquid, egg, worcestershire, seasonings, and bread crumbs.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Stir in Beef and shrooms.
Shape into loaf in 13x9x2" baking dish, or a large glass bowl.
Bake at 350* for 1 hour.
Combine ketchup and corn syrup.
Pour over top and bake for 15 minutes.

I switched to sliced fresh mushrooms (4-8 oz, depending on preference) and use all milk for the 1/2 c of liquid). I also make much more sauce for topping! Left by: Mom (21 Oct 2020)
